Thank you for your interest in the Medical & BioScience Academy at Longmont High School! Applications for the 2023-2024 school year will open in November. The Medical and BioScience Academy (MBSA) of Longmont High School is designed for students interested in careers or post-secondary education rooted in the health sciences.
The MBSA provides rigorous college-preparatory curricula and instruction that prepares students for highly competitive admissions, and post-secondary education programs in medicine, research, and allied health sciences.MBSA students are required to enroll in Honors-level or Advanced Placement (AP) math and science classes, ensuring a strong knowledge base.
Along with rigorous coursework, MBSA seniors apply for and complete a one-semester capstone project through an internship at a health science or bioscience organization.

12th Grade (Required): MBSA Internship Class
MBSA Senior Internship and Capstone Project
Seniors will apply for an internship and complete a one-semester capstone, research or senior design project with a health science or bioscience organization. During internships, students interact with health science professionals, apply modern technology for medical applications, and develop skills needed in the medical and bioscience workplace.
