We’re excited you’re interested in joining the Medical & BioScience Academy at Longmont High School! If you’d like to learn more about our program and meet the MBSA teachers and staff, come to our 8th Grade Open House on Monday, November 13th from 6-8pm at Longmont High School.
Application Deadline: Applications are due by Friday, Dec. 15, 2023. After December 15, we will continue to accept applications on a rolling admissions basis until all available spaces are filled. Complete the online application and submit the supporting documents as soon as possible for priority consideration.
Acceptance Decision: We will be notifying students of their acceptance to the MBSA program on or before January 12, 2024.

The Medical and BioScience Academy (MBSA) of Longmont High School is designed for students interested in careers or post-secondary education rooted in the health sciences.
The MBSA provides rigorous college-preparatory curricula and instruction that prepares students for highly competitive admissions, and post-secondary education programs in medicine, research, and allied health sciences.MBSA students are required to enroll in Honors-level or Advanced Placement (AP) math and science classes, ensuring a strong knowledge base.
Along with rigorous coursework, MBSA seniors apply for and complete a one-semester capstone project through an internship at a health science or bioscience organization.

MBSA Senior Internship and Capstone Project
Seniors will apply for an internship and complete a one-semester capstone, research or senior design project with a health science or bioscience organization. During internships, students interact with health science professionals, apply modern technology for medical applications, and develop skills needed in the medical and bioscience workplace.
