Others aren’t even Longmont High students. They come from Niwot or Westview Middle School. But they all come together in the Longmont High School band hall to pound sticks against wood and skin and to be the best drumline in state.

“They’re still a young group but they’ve grown a lot from last year,” said band director David Merrill. “A really hardworking group of students. They get here early, they work outside of practice, they keep their grades up, they do everything really well.”
