As part of the Introduction to Healthcare Foundations course, Longmont High school students in the Medical & BioScience Academy toured Longmont United Hospital this week. During the visit, students learned about the hospital’s Planetree philosophy, a patient centered approach to healthcare, and explored the cardiac wing, the emergency department, and x-ray room. In addition, professionals in the fields of nursing and medical imaging took time to share their experiences with our scholars.
