Each year, more and more St. Vrain students are realizing success with higher AP scores, college credit, and improved con dence. To continue this momentum, school and district leaders are supporting students with optional, free weekend study sessions to dive deeper into content and exam structure.

The Chamber Student Network, which is comprised of FRCC and SVVSD students, is hosting a member event at the Chamber of Commerce – 528 Main Street, Longmont – on February 19 at 4:00pm. Celebrate Chinese New Year at Silver Creek High School, February 8

The Asian Pacific Association of Longmont, Silver Creek Leadership Academy and the St. Vrain Valley School District are excited to host the 10th Anniversary Chinese New Year Celebration at Silver Creek High School on February 8, 2020 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. This zero waste event is free and open to the public and will include cultural performances, hands-on activity booths, and Chinese food samplings.

Longmont High engineering students tackling autonomous vehicle project

Longmont High School teachers Joe Wach and LeRoy VanderVegt are always looking for projects to engage their engineering and computer science students and encourage them to keep going with more advanced classes.

“We have all these projects they do throughout the semester, but there wasn’t really anything to inspire students to go onto the next level,” Wach said. “We envisioned this big project they could continue to work on in the advanced classes. Students could be part of something much bigger.”
