Halloween Guidelines

Halloween is Wednesday, Oct. 31. If you plan to wear a costume, you must follow the following guidelines or you will be asked to remove your costume: 

  1. Costumes that violate the Student Dress Code Policy are not permitted.
  2. Masks or simulated blood are not permitted.
  3. Makeup and/or face paint should not cover the student’s face in a manner that makes the student unrecognizable.  
  4. No simulated weapons of any sort are permitted, including, but not limited to, toy or facsimile guns, other toy weapons like knives, swords, bats, etc.
  5. Costumes that are overly graphic, promote violence are not acceptable.
  6. Costumes that otherwise might logically be assumed to be offensive to others are not acceptable.
  7. Costumes that are sexually suggestive and would otherwise violate the school’s dress code are not appropriate. Body suits are not allowed. 
  8. Costumes should not include items with sound effects, lights, or other components that would disrupt the classroom learning environment.
  9. Costumes must have an appropriate theme. 
  10. No costumes with drug or alcohol related references or advertisements.
