Finite Math

Finite Math focuses on three critical areas: (1) sequences and series (extended from Algebra 2);  (2) operations with matrices and determinants; and (3) operations with vectors.  In addition, Finite Math will provide an opportunity to review and extend the skills needed to continue in the college preparatory mathematics sequence including analytic geometry, functions, quadratic equations, rational expressions and probability and statistics.   This course is required for students who have completed Algebra 2 and intend to take Honors Precalculus w/Trigonometry. These concepts and associated skills exceed the Colorado Academic Standards for mathematics, incorporating 21st century skills and postsecondary and workforce readiness competencies.
