English 11

English 11 presents a grade-level integrated study of American literature, composition, and oral communication. The intent is to combine the study of our American literary heritage with the study of composition so that students are actively engaged in reading, writing, and speaking about the people and ideas that influence our society. Students will develop their ability to read and write about a variety of literary genres. Successful completion of a semester project (research paper or multi-genre project) is required to pass second semester. Students will be expected to display good work habits and consistently complete homework, an essential part of this course.
